Thousands of Valentines Made for DC Nursing Home Residents
Residents from all over Washington, D.C. were given personalized Valentine’s Day cards thanks to the efforts of Patrick Kaufmann, a local teenager. With the help of nearly 16,000 students from over 60 schools, Patrick delivered the cards to long term care residents at nursing homes throughout D.C. Read the full story here →
Students Made Valentine’s Day Goodie Bags
Students at Henry Elementary in Virginia showed their love to local nursing home residents by putting together goodie bags. The students were able to make 180 goodie bags, which included personalized cards , snacks, and other items. Read the full story here →
A Community Effort for a Special Valentine’s Delivery
Local employees from Miller Poultry made almost 200 hand-made Valentine’s Day boxes for long term care residents. Each heart-shaped box was painted and decorated with stickers and ribbons with stuffed toys, snacks, and chocolates stuffed inside. Read the full story here →
