With April showers finished and May flowers in bloom, long term care communities are finding fresh, exciting activities to enjoy warmer weather.

Delightful door décor

Door decorations have been a hit this spring. Residents at Creekside at Three Rivers Assisted Living in TN and The Legacy Assisted Living in OH crafted handmade decorations to brighten up hallways and show off their personalities.

A Spring Door Decorating Contest

May Day basket swaps

Residents at Randolph Health Services & Assisted Living in WI participated in a historic – and fun! – May Day tradition. Participants made May baskets to hand out to each other, including fresh flowers and festive wrapping.

Country Care Assisted Living in MI got several fluffy new residents. In addition to the chicks now living on the grounds, their greenhouse has begun to sprout!

A Spring Fling 

Riverside Place in St. Joseph, MO held a Spring Fling event with live music, games and snacks. “Warms your heart very much to see all of our residents coming out, out of their rooms is really the biggest thing,” said admissions coordinator Sara Dooley. Read more about the event here
